Cuba

“A photograph isn’t necessarily a lie, but nor is it the truth. It’s more of a fleeting, subjective impression.”

– Martine Franck

I was fortunate to travel to Cuba with my wife Milessa Murphy, a preeminent oil painter ( Milessa.com) when she was an invited painter for the Plein Air Publishers Invitational. The iconic city of Havana, full of color and decay was a study in contrasts. Like the 1950’s with 60 years of deferred maintenance! The people are quite lovely and very interested in “all thing American”.
